Eastern European Breast Cancer Update
8-10 April 2010 • Prague, Czech Republic
Meeting Overview | prIME Oncology’s Eastern European Breast Cancer Update is a 1.5-day educational activity for Eastern European and Russian delegates. The meeting will focus on updates in breast cancer management and will include highlights from the 2009 San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium (SABCS), the 4th International Breast Cancer Conference (IBCC4), and the 7th European Breast Cancer Conference (EBCC7).
The format of the meeting features standard didactic presentations, interactive clinical cases, and clinical opinion poll questions. “Ask the Experts” sessions will give attendees the opportunity to pose questions to international breast cancer experts. This approach will allow for a highly interactive environment in which physicians can update their knowledge on breast cancer therapies and enhance decision-making capabilities in this area.

Analyze the role of anthracycline-based regimens in patients with early breast cancer, including optimal patient selection and management of side effects
-
Identify novel therapeutic agents that may be used in the adjuvant and neoadjuvant settings to further improve patient outcomes
-
Describe the role of molecular profiling in breast cancer, and discuss how these profiles guide choice of therapy
-
Analyze the latest clinical research on systemic therapy for patients with metastatic triple-negative breast cancer
-
Review the results of recent clinical trials focusing on the addition of anti-angiogenic therapy to standard treatment for metastatic breast cancer
-
Summarize emerging data for novel therapeutic agents that may be used in patients who have had disease progression following standard chemotherapy
-
Evaluate and select optimal treatment strategies for the management of HER2-positive breast cancer
-
Outline appropriate treatment options for the management of locally advanced, endocrine-responsive breast cancer
-
Identify the potential effects of economic limitations on current treatment guidelines for breast cancer
